Stone Matrix Asphalt / Stone Mastic Asphalt (SMA) concept is based on a deformation resistant asphalt mix for wearing courses with high coarse aggregate content, gap-grading, bitumen rich mortar (mastic) and stabilizing additives ( Topcel® ) as binder carriers. This leads to a self-supporting stone aggregate mixture.

The increased bitumen proportion is typical of asphalt mastic (mortar). This improves the ageing properties and wear resistance of the SMA surface course.

Stone Mastic Asphalt (SMA) is a high quality asphalt mortar of bitumen, sand, and filler with CFF’s cellulose fibre pellets acting as binder carriers to permanently bond the mineral substances.

The surface texture of SMA reduces noise as compared to concrete constructions (CC) or bituminous concrete(BC) layers. The resistance and extended service life of SMA reduces maintenance costs during the life cycle of the road.

Pure Sulphur Monochloride is obtained by distilling to get a Yellow-Orangish liquid. S₂Cl₂ has been used to introduce C-S bonds. Other uses include manufacturing Sulfur dyes, Insecticides, synthetic rubbers. S₂Cl₂ is also used in cold vulcanization of rubber, as polymerization catalyst for Vegetable oils and for hardening soft woods.

SCL₂ is produced by the chlorination of either elemental Sulphur or Disulphur Dichloride. SCL₂ is used in Organic Synthesis. SCL₂ hydrolyzes with release of HCL.

Factice is vulcanized unsaturated vegetable or animal oil, used as a processing aid and property modifier in rubber. Cross-linking the fatty-acid chains with sulfur (brown factice) or S₂Cl₂ (white factice) yields a rubbery material that improves the processing characteristics and ozone resistance of rubber. Varying the amount of factice changes the physical properties of the rubber; molded items might be 5-10% factice, extrusions 15-30%. Rubber erasers can have as much as 4 times factice as rubber in their composition.

We are the Sole Distributors in India for a German Co: CFF GmbH & Co. KG for their TOPCEL(R) and TOPCEL (ADD) (R), which are Cellulose Fiber, which are used in the Asphalt Road Technology of STONE MATRIX ASPHALT (SMA) & POROUS ASPHALT which are used for Wearing Course & for water canalling respectively.

• A. Dosage: 0.3% of Total Asphalt Mixture as per 5th Revision of MORT&H Specification
• B. We supply in 3kgs, 4.5kgs, 6kgs PE Bags as per customer requirement.

TOPCEL(ADD) ® Packing

• A. Dosage: 0.5% of Total Asphalt Mixture as per 5th Revision of MORT&H Specification in which 0.3% is Cellulose Fiber & 0.2% is Bitumen Modifier(Not Bitumen)
• B. We supply in 5kgs PE Bags

Contract / Custom Manufacturing:
